Next meeting Monday 18 September
Thanks to Vic and Annie for entertaining us one last time and giving us a sneak peek of their final Fringe show at last night’s party. See their Playing Politics show at the Queen’s Hall on 25 August:

We’ll be submitting this motion to the Women’s STUC conference, unless anyone has any amendments. Tell me if so:
“Conference welcomes the recent project on women in journalism in Scotland carried out by the National Union of Journalists with support from the Scottish Government, and hopes that it will be possible to find ways of continuing this vital work on enhancing the role of women in Sottish journalism and media, now that the initial project is completed. Conference strongly recommends the report on this project to all member unions, and urges them to use it as a framework for considering the role of women in their own media representation, and exploring ways in which women members of all unions can achieve a stronger public voice in arguing for workers’ rights and trade union values, across our national and local media.”
After our summer break, we’ll be meeting again in September. Full details to follow, but for now it’s:
