SAM BRADLEY, Editorial assistant at The Drum
He co-edits Counterpoint, a quarterly magazine of original writing, illustration and photography, based in Edinburgh. As well as producing new music magazine Dive, he has written about music for titles such as The List. He graduated from the magazine publishing postgraduate course at Edinburgh Napier and was the first student rep for the NUJ’s Edinburgh Freelance Branch.
FRANCHESCA HASHEMI, Journalist on The Nine, BBC Scotland
After being freelance, she worked on short-term contracts at the BBC for around 18 months before securing her current permanent role. She worked in London as a trade journalist for 10 months after graduating, and held numerous freelance positions in newspapers and online. Her degree is in journalism from the University of the West of Scotland.
YASMIN MORGAN-GRIFFITHS, Journalist on The Nine, BBC Scotland
Self-shooting broadcast journalist and researcher. Experience in specialist factual, current affairs, docsand daily news. Graduate of Channel 4’s Investigative Journalism Training Scheme. Graduated from the University of Edinburgh in 2013 and completed a postgrad diploma in broadcast journalism from Cardiff University in 2014.
JEN STOUT, Journalist on The Nine, BBC Scotland
Previously reporter for Stranraer and Wigtownshire Free Press and a freelance writer. After graduating from the University of Edinburgh in 2012, she went on to complete an NCTJ Diploma Fast-Track, Journalism at the City of Liverpool College.
Shortly after graduating with a degree in journalism from Edinburgh Napier, he became a roving reporter at STV Edinburgh and helped launch the channel with flagship magazine programme The Fountainbridge Show in 2015. He has also worked on other STV programmes, including Edinburgh Festival 2015, 2016 and 2017 and The Festival Show’ in 2018.
